Post Field Day: Community Cleanup, Facility Upgrades & Volunteer Mixer
All hands on deck to beautify, upgrade, and preserve our Astoria Post home! Rocco Moretto VFW Post 2348 calls on all Post members, Auxiliary officers, local Scouting troops, civic associations, corporate volunteer groups, and neighborhood allies to unite at 31-35 41st Street for our seasonal Post Field Day. Together we will tackle facility improvements, courtyard landscaping, hall painting, and deep cleaning—followed by a complimentary volunteer BBQ feast and after-event canteen social mixer!
Facility Upgrades & Maintenance
Hands-on improvement teams tackling interior wall painting, main hall floor polishing, outdoor patio landscaping, prep kitchen maintenance, and lighting upgrades across our Post building.
Civic & Youth Group Partnership
Uniting Post members, Auxiliary supporters, local Scout troops, JROTC cadets, student veterans, and neighborhood civic organizations in a day of shared community service and teamwork.
Breakfast, Lunch & Hydration
Keeping our volunteer crew energized with morning coffee and pastries, continuous hydration stations, and a hot grilled lunch served midday in the courtyard.
After-Event Canteen Mixer
Celebrate a successful day of hard work starting at 1:00 PM! Relax with cold canteen beverages, music, door prizes, and camaraderie as we toast our community volunteers and veteran team.
