Rocco Moretto VFW Post 2348 has a rich and storied history, deeply intertwined with the communities of Queens, New York. Originally established in the vibrant neighborhood of Long Island City, the post served as a crucial hub for veterans, offering camaraderie, support, and a dedicated space for community engagement.
As the urban landscape evolved, so did the needs and demographics of the area. The post's location eventually saw a rezoning, leading to its relocation and continued service within the neighboring community of Astoria. This transition allowed VFW Post 2348 to adapt while maintaining its core mission of supporting veterans and contributing to the local fabric.
Today, VFW Post 2348 continues its vital work in LIC, Astoria, Sunnyside, Woodside, Ditmars, and Queens general area upholding the VFW's broader commitment to advocacy, community service, and honoring the sacrifices of our nation's heroes. Its enduring presence reflects the resilience and dedication of its members.

No veteran or neighbor should go hungry. As part of the VFW’s commitment to Uniting for Veterans, we host regular food drives to collect non-perishable goods for local families and military households facing food insecurity.

We believe in "Veterans Helping Veterans." Our program pairs experienced members with new recruits to provide guidance on veteran benefits, leadership development, and navigating life after service, ensuring our legacy of service continues.
