VA Hospital Visit & Bedside Veteran Outreach
Bringing comfort, holiday cheer, and grateful comradeship to hospitalized heroes! Rocco Moretto VFW Post 2348 invites Post members, Auxiliary volunteers, youth leaders, and Astoria community supporters to join us on Saturday, December 12th for our annual VA Hospital Visit. Assemble at 31-35 41st Street as we prepare care bundles, holiday cards, warm lap blankets, and gift packages before visiting inpatient and recovering veterans at local VA Medical Centers across New York City.
Bedside Visits & Gift Delivery
Delivering holiday gift bags, warm fleece lap blankets, wool socks, books, and personal care items directly to inpatient veterans in hospital wards.
Comradeship & Listening Ear
Spending meaningful time with recovering service members, listening to service memories, and ensuring no veteran feels forgotten during the holidays.
Care Package & Card Assembly
Assembling custom hygiene kits and hand-written holiday thank-you cards created by local Astoria elementary students and youth volunteers.
Community & Youth Involvement
Uniting Post members, Auxiliary supporters, family members, and community allies in an impactful day of voluntary civic service.
